Enterprise IT Business Applications creates and implements innovative technology solutions used to operate and manage the business of the University of Arizona, with the direction of cloud-first, that will better unlock the potential of employees to increase efficiency, transparency, and access to pertinent data.

Mark Felix Executive Director

Enterprise IT Business Applications works collaboratively to support university applications and business units through a range of projects spanning implementation, enhancement, and maintenance. Many of these efforts involve large-scale, University-wide (“enterprise”) applications that support the institution’s finance, human resources, and research operations.

The teams within this unit provide multiple layers of application development and functional support. For example, when a software vendor releases a code update, developers first review the technical specifications, while business analysts assess the update’s potential value and impact on end users. Once an update is deemed beneficial to university operations, it is deployed to a test environment, where developers implement any necessary customizations. Working groups then partner with business users to evaluate potential changes and determine the optimal time to implement updates in production.
