UITS is working around the clock to resolve intermittent issues with campus wireless

The University has been experiencing UAWiFi connectivity issues since Monday, Aug. 23. We recognize this has caused significant disruptions and frustration for faculty, staff, and students, and we extend our sincere apology.

University Information Technology Services has been working on this issue 24 hours a day since it was first detected. We will continue to work around the clock throughout the weekend with some of the top national experts on this network equipment and we will persist until this issue is resolved.

Earlier today, on Monday, August 23, from 8:45 am – 10:15 am and 11:45 am – 12:15 pm, UAWiFi service was intermittent, resulting in some members of the university community being unable to login or connect.

UAWiFi is currently available, and University Information Technology Services (UITS) is carefully monitoring and supporting this service. UITS is working with our supply chain partner and other universities using the same equipment for a complete resolution to this issue.

UITS aims to provide the university community with consistent and reliable IT services every day so students, faculty and staff have fast, secure and reliable UAWiFi network access. We know UAWiFi is a critical service and the interruption this morning impacted teaching, learning and business operations on the first day of the fall semester. We extend our sincere apology for this loss of service at such a critical time.
