Effective, March 1, 2023, the University of Arizona will implement a 15GB storage limit on university-managed Google Workspace for Education (CatMail) accounts, including Drive, Gmail, and Photos. The limit will apply to all active affiliations including faculty, staff, DCCs and students.

The university is implementing a storage limit following the vendor’s decision to discontinue free unlimited storage to the academic community.

If your university Google account currently exceeds 15GB, it will need to meet the 15GB limit by March 2023.

To see how much data storage you are using in your university Google account:

  • Log into CatMail (ensure you are logged in to your university account, not your personal account)
  • Check your data storage

If your account is under 15GB, no action is required. If your account is over 15GB, please begin reducing the size of your Google account.
