Jon Kozik

The Interim Executive Director of Infrastructure at University Information Technology Services (UITS) supports the Network Operations, Systems Administration and Security, Cloud Infrastructure and Managed Operations, and Microsoft Technologies teams. In this role, Jon has the privilege of witnessing brilliant UA architects, engineers, and systems and network administrators create innovative and secure service offerings in response to the needs of the University’s students, faculty, and staff. 

The Infrastructure team provides the physical and logical underpinnings of all other technology at the University. With a diverse portfolio that includes designing and managing the network and server infrastructure connecting University campuses with the cloud, the Infrastructure team is constantly envisioning new ways to enhance the security, availability, and affordability of University services. 

Jon has been supporting University of Arizona IT infrastructure since 2010. Originally hired as a System Administrator on the UITS Microsoft Technologies team, he subsequently acted as team lead for the Virtualization and Managed Cloud Services teams, where he helped with the transition from physical to virtual servers and the subsequent migration to cloud computing. He most recently served as Director of the Cloud Infrastructure and Managed Operations team.
