Technology Lifecycle Care

UITS will cover purchase, deployment, support, warranty repair, and refresh for workstations used by University benefits-eligible employees. The Tech Studio serves as a main campus location for members of participating units to explore, pick up, or get support for TLC hardware.

TLC includes a vetted software store for employees to securely install additional software they need, and UITS will maintain operating system and software patches and updates.

  • Deans and VPs, sign an MOU to enroll all departments in your area in TLC

Managed Cloud Services

When a college or division turns server management over to Managed Cloud Services, UITS will cover cloud hosting, migration where needed, compute time, and certain popular services; divisions pay only for Amazon Web Services storage.

Managed Cloud Services includes all network and server infrastructure, licensing for Windows Server OS and MCS applications, patching, backups, network traffic logging, and vulnerability scanning.

  • UITS will work with IT directors to agree on whether MCS is an appropriate solution for a division's servers
