I am pleased to announce Maysoon Eshelman will be joining University Information Technology Services as Executive Director of Campus IT Partnerships, effective Monday, January 25, 2021. The candidate pool for this search process was exceptionally strong, and feedback was overwhelmingly positive for all three finalists. I want to thank the search committee, which was chaired by Lanita Collette and Marisela Celaya, for helping to recruit a talented leader for this important position.

In this new role, Maysoon will report to the Deputy CIO and Chief Information Security Officer and serve as a member of the UITS Executive Leadership Team. She will be responsible for strategic planning, operational management, and leadership for Campus IT Partnerships. She will also lead University-wide IT initiatives and work in collaboration with campus stakeholders to advance strategic information technology goals.

Maysoon has spent the last 20 years at the University of Arizona serving in various IT leadership positions in administrative and health science units. For the past five years, she has served as Director, Infrastructure Services & Customer Care, with the College of Medicine–Tucson where she was responsible for the management, strategy, and execution of IT infrastructure and technology operations. Maysoon has been an active member of the university’s IT Community and has invested time and energy into developing future leaders by serving on the steering committees for the IT Leadership Academy (ITLA), Women in Technology (UAWiT), and IT Summit.

Maysoon will be focused on transitional activities in the College of Medicine–Tucson from now until her new role begins at UITS on January 25.

Please join me in congratulating Maysoon and wishing her every success in her new role.
