UA Women in IT
The active promotion of women and other under-represented populations in Information Technology enhances the University of Arizona campus environment and builds community for our campus IT professionals, all campus employees, UA STEM students, and the entire UA student population. Inclusion in campus IT is particularly important for the University of Arizona as a land-grant institution, where we should always aspire to be representative of the State of Arizona population.
In October 2015 UA Women in IT was launched. The series was sponsored by then Office of the Chief Information Officer and funded by a grant from the Commission on the Status of Women. Current sponsorship is from the Chief Information Security Office.
