The Data Loss Prevention (DLP) feature within the University of Arizona's email system (UAConnect) scans outgoing mail to ensure sensitive information (social security numbers, HIPAA information, etc.) is not being sent through plain text email. When the system detects sensitive material in an outgoing email, that message is processed as the specific DLP policy dictates.

This service is available to UA IT professionals.
Departments interested in DLP must meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Participate in UAConnect as the primary email system for their unit
- Have Exchange accepted domains configured within UAConnect for their departmental domains
- Have their departmental domains configured as primary SMTP domains for their users
