The University of Arizona's Laboratory for Immersive Visualization Environments (AZ-LIVE) is a space where researchers, faculty, and students can be immersed in computer-generated interactive environments. These virtual worlds (Cave Automatic Virtual Environments or CAVEs) are created using 3D computer graphics, four-channel audio, stereoscopic projection technology, and acoustical tracking devices.
AZ-LIVE is a service of UITS Research Computing and serves traditional scientific disciplines such as chemistry, mathematics, and engineering, as well as fields such as psychology and archaeology.
