Operational Lead

Office of Student Computing Resources (OSCR)

Salary Range: $11.50 - $12.50 hourly

Operational Leads (OL) practice leadership, supervisory and management skills by acting as student supervisors. OSCR Career Staff work closely with OLs to enable them to coach and train student staff on customer support methods, student staff policies, location policies, and equipment and facility maintenance procedures. Students in this position also act as advocates between student staff and OSCR Career Staff by keeping track of OSCR student staff resources, technology and training needs necessary to fulfill their job. OLs need to have excellent customer service, leadership and troubleshooting skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, excellent Internet research skills, at least two years experience using Windows or Macintosh hardware/software, basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. OLs must also be available 10 days immediately following Spring semester for leadership training. It would also be helpful if you have held a valid United States drivers license for the past two years. If you meet these qualifications and are a detail-oriented self-starter who can multitask, then OSCR wants you as an Operational Lead!

Federal Work-Study eligible. Not eligible for graduate assistantships.

Operational Leads are promoted from our current student workers. Apply for a Computer Lab Consultant position to work at OSCR.
