Lync Instant Messenger
Resources for Operating Systems
There are mobile Lync apps for iPhone, Android and Windows mobile - the apps are available for free from the respective markets on the devices. However, auto-configuration is not available for mobile devices. In the app you have to configure the internal and external access under options and server settings. Note: these server settings are ONLY for the mobile client, they will not work for the desktop client.
For internal access path enter: https://lync-edge1.catnet.arizona.edu/autodiscover/autodiscover.svc/root
For external access path enter: https://lync-edge1.catnet.arizona.edu/autodiscover/autodiscoverservice.svc/root
Push notification is not currently working - this will impact iPhones in particular where the app doesn't run in the background so cannot notify you when a contact tries to initiate a chat session.
