Zoom Phone Equipment
NOTE: Basic Zoom Phone service is active for all University Zoom accounts. UITS will be transitioning University telephone numbers to licensed Zoom Phone numbers over 2021-2022. See the Zoom Phone Project page for more information.

See the information below to help determine whether you should request equipment to use with Zoom Phone and what would be appropriate for your needs.
All of these devices require a data port to plug into, and will not work with a phone jack. Phones do include a pass-through port if you want to plug the phone into the wall and plug your computer into the phone. Order a data connection for your new phone if one is not already available.
Request a headset if you work in a space where:
- Environmental noise disrupts calls through your device mic and/or makes it difficult for you to hear
- Others in your environment can overhear your callers’ information that should be private
All headsets are on-ear/over-ear.
Wired is the standard headset offering. Use this option if you are generally using the phone in proximity to your computer.
