Q. What is my UAConnect 365 email address?
The traditional UA Office 365 email address for all faculty, staff, service/departmental accounts, and the DCCs who get UA email accounts is NetID @email.arizona.edu. For student workers who get UA Office 365 email accounts, the address has been NetID @catworks.arizona.edu.
As of September 16, 2019, email addressed to NetID @arizona.edu will also be received in UAConnect365 accounts. For example:
Wilbur Wildcat, with NetID wilbur, gives out his business card with email@example.com. However, others may have had his “old” email address, firstname.lastname@example.org. Email sent to either address will be received in Wilbur’s inbox. When Wilbur responds to an email, the “From” address will show email@example.com.
No action is required on the part of account holders. This option is being made available globally.
Q: Who will receive email at the new @arizona.edu address?
The new @arizona.edu address is for those who are doing business on behalf of the institution: faculty, emeritus, staff, service/departmental accounts, DCCs (with UA email accounts), and student workers.
The additional email address is not being added to retiree accounts.
It also does not apply in any way to student CatMail accounts.
Q: When will my emails appear to be sent “From:” my NetID @arizona.edu address?
The ability to send emails from NetID @arizona.edu will not be available until Spring 2020.
Q: Which email will I use to log into UA services?
No change. UA services (e.g. Office 365, Adobe, etc.) that use your @email.arizona.edu address to log in will continue to use your @email.arizona.edu address.
Q. Why are we changing to arizona.edu?
This is the first step in the University’s email domain transition away from @email.arizona.edu to @arizona.edu to present a more modern, simplified UA presence to world. This phased approach of adopting @arizona.edu as the primary email address has been made in response to the UAVoice request and many others who have supported this option for a simplified branding and email experience. UAVoice (formerly the Campaign for Common Sense) is a University-wide initiative that is identifying opportunities to facilitate collaboration, encourage innovation, reduce frustration, and save both money and time.

If you have any questions or issues, please contact your Information Technology (IT) Manager or Director.
Q: Will older email aliasing addresses and alternate campus addresses still work (e.g. @u.arizona.edu)?
This change should not affect anyone with older customized addresses (e.g. @u.arizona.edu, @cals.arizona.edu).
Q: Should we list our department email using @arizona.edu as well?
Yes. Departmental email using @email.arizona.edu can list @arizona.edu (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org).
