Intrastate Toll Bypass

Associated Service:
Long Distance Telephone Service

Toll Bypass is used to make free long distance calls between some University of Arizona locations in Tucson, Phoenix, Yuma, and Flagstaff.

To use Toll Bypass, dial the area code and phone number WITHOUT DIALING 1 first. If the call is made with 1 dialed before the area code, Toll Bypass will not be activated and long distance charges will be incurred. Call without dialing 1 for free calls:

FROM:

Tucson campus phones having a 621, 626, or 695 prefix

Phoenix campus phones having an 827 prefix

Yuma campus phones having a 782 prefix

TO:

Any Phoenix phone number with area code 602, 480, or 623

Any Tucson phone number with area code 520

Any Flagstaff or Yuma phone number with area code 928

Fast Busy Signal

If you hear a fast busy signal when trying to make a long distance call using the Toll Bypass service, then the service is not currently available. You will have to dial the long distance phone number normally (entering 1 before the area code), and long distance charges will be incurred.
